According to a recent study, 30% of Millennials say they feel lonely.
22% say they have no friends. Research shows that loneliness only increases as we age. Millennials, what are the ways you find yourself being intentional about relationship? Do these numbers resonate with you? I have worked with more than a few Millennials who say they need/want to learn how to be more of an "adult" in a relationship. This doesn't mean they can't build relationships, it means they know they have room to improve. (Don't we all?) Some never learned how to deal with conflict or how to have difficult conversations. Personally, I respect that many are aware enough about who they are to see areas of growth & they honestly want to do something about it...now. Unfortunately, the average age for an employee to receive leadership development is 40. What is your company doing to develop your workforce? How are you equipping them with the skills needed to be excellent managers and leaders? By 2025, Millennials will make up 75% of the workforce. We cannot ignore how crucial it will be that they feel confident to build, maintain, and manage relationships. #hr #millennials #leadershipdevelopment #communication
