How prepared are you for Generation Z?
Generation Z has arrived in the workforce. This generation has been raised by Gen X parents and they appear to be even more entrepreneurial than the Millennials have been. They are resourceful and are sometimes referred to as the DIY generation with around 85% going online on a daily basis to learn something new. They are practical and are deeply driven by creating change on behalf of both people and the planet. This is the most diverse generation the world has ever seen. They aren’t looking for diversity, they simply expect it to be there. Technology is not a part of their experience, it is their experience. When this generation shows up at the office, they want a culture that allows them to be uniquely themselves with the ability to customize what is important to them. They want to feel safe, fearless. They have learned from the generation before them that they cannot believe everything they read online. Instead, they want to be able to look their bosses and colleagues in the eye and know that they can trust them. What are you doing to prepare your company and its culture for Generation Z?
